Age of Atlantis is a color-matching game with three variations of gameplay. The objective is always to match figures of the same color. The game goes back and forth through this variations.
In the first one, the screen shows multi-colored figures arranged in a square formation. The player has to drag and move rows and columns of this square to make matches.
In the second one the figures are attached to several pin-wheels on the board. When the player clicks the wheels the pieces rotate around it. The objective is to surround each wheel with figures of the same color, to make them disappear.
In the final variation the pieces form concentric circles that are always rotating. The player has to wait until a match occurs and click on it.
The game gives gold coins after the completion of each level. They are used to buy power-ups on a shop screen, like bombs that explode surrounding pieces.
